First, let me say that you should NEVER live paycheck to paycheck. It is really risky business. However I know that sometimes there’s no possible way to not live like that, so if you need some extra bucks here are some ways to help.
1. Stay track of where your money goes
Too often we do not look at our bank account or credit card statements. Instead we spend $4.97 on the smoothie at the cafe and when it’s time to pay the bills we go back, we come to discover 60% of our money (or more) is gone!
It is absolutely crucial to keep track of every single transaction whether it is online, in person, on card or cash. By doing this we can then keep track of how much we are actually spending and what we should cut back on.
2. End any subscriptions
I, sadly, had to get rid of Spotify, Ipsy and Netflix. This is hard for me because I love subscriptions, but they are some of the largest money suckers. We rarely ever stop to think, about the $30 less this month because of the automatic payments. So, say bubye.
3. Sell any excess belongings
This can be anything and everything.
It can be clothes or shoes you no longer wear, stuffed animals you don’t use, books you don’t read, chairs you don’t sit on. Basically just anything that creates clutter and isn’t used often, sell it!
You can sell it on ebay, amazon, craigslist and even some pages on facebook allow for selling your belongings
4. Put your talents to use
Dog Sit, house sit, babysit, mow lawns, have a bake sale, pull weeds, create and sell art, or whatever else you can think of to do with your talent.
If you don’t think you have a talent, do something that doesn’t have special requirements like taking surveys for companies, becoming a secret shopper, etc.
There’s so many things you can do without waiting for a paycheck. If you have any other ideas leave them in the comments.
